SafeSeat Order Alerts (SMS)

SafeSeat Order Alerts is an optional text message program from SafeSeat LLC. If you opt in, we'll text you updates about your SafeSeat orders as a backup to email, so you don't miss a time-sensitive step because an email landed in spam.

What we'll text you

Only transactional updates about orders you're part of:

• When your ticket sells and needs to be transferred to the buyer
• When a seller marks your ticket as sent and you need to confirm it arrived
• When a payout is released or an order is refunded
• A reminder if an order is still open close to the start of the game

We never send marketing or promotional texts.

Example: “SafeSeat: Your ticket for IU vs. Northwestern (Fri 9/25) sold! Transfer it to the buyer in your IU ticket account, then mark it sent: https://www.safeseat.app/orders/1042. Reply STOP to opt out.”

How to opt in

Text alerts are off by default. To turn them on:

1. Sign in to SafeSeat with your iu.edu account.
2. Go to Account Settings and enter your mobile number.
3. Check the box next to the following consent language:

Adding a phone number and opting in is optional. You can buy and sell on SafeSeat without it. After you opt in, we'll send one text confirming you're signed up.

Message frequency varies with your order activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out and getting help

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or uncheck the box in Account Settings. You'll get one confirmation text and nothing after that. You'll still receive order emails. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@safeseat.app.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your privacy

We use your mobile number only to send these messages and run the SafeSeat service. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties.
