SafeSeat is the safe way for Indiana University students to buy and sell their own student-section tickets — with verified accounts and protected payments.

How it works

Buyer pays; money is held.
The buyer pays through SafeSeat. Funds are held securely and not released to anyone until the ticket is delivered.
Seller transfers the ticket.
The seller transfers the ticket in the official Indiana University ticketing app to the buyer's verified iu.edu address.
Buyer confirms; seller gets paid.
Once the buyer confirms the ticket arrived in their account, the seller receives payment. If the ticket is never delivered, the buyer is refunded in full.

Buyers pay a flat $3 service fee. Sellers pay nothing to list or sell.

: SafeSeat is exclusively for currently enrolled Indiana University students with a valid iu.edu email address. Both buyers and sellers must verify their student email to create an account.
: Once the buyer confirms they received the ticket in the Indiana University ticketing app, we release payment to you. Payouts go to your linked bank account within 2–3 business days. You're never charged a listing or selling fee.
: If the seller does not transfer the ticket within the delivery window, you receive a full refund automatically — no disputes, no hassle. The seller is also subject to removal from the platform.
: If you purchase a ticket but do not accept the transfer in the Indiana University ticketing app within 24 hours, the ticket returns to the seller and the transaction is voided. You won't be charged.
