SafeSeat Referral Program & USC Game Drawing
Part 1: Fee-Free Referral Credits — Terms
These terms apply to SafeSeat's referral credit program, operated by SafeSeat LLC ("SafeSeat"). SafeSeat's Terms of Service also apply. This program is separate from the USC Game Drawing below; earning or using a credit has no effect on drawing entries.
1. How it works. Every verified SafeSeat user gets a personal referral link. A friend who creates a new SafeSeat account through your link pays no SafeSeat service fee on their first purchase. When that first purchase is completed, you earn one fee-free credit. A purchase is completed when the buyer confirms the ticket arrived, or when the payment is released to the seller, and the payment is released to the seller.
2. Qualifying referrals. To qualify, the referred friend must be a new user who has never had a SafeSeat account, must create their account through your link, and must complete a first purchase of a ticket priced at least $20. Self-referrals, and referrals made through fake, duplicate, or shared accounts, do not qualify.
3. Using credits. Each credit waives the $3 SafeSeat service fee on one future purchase. Credits apply only to the service fee, never to the ticket price. One credit can be used per order. Credits stack, one per qualifying referral, up to 10 credits earned per user.
4. Refunds. If a referred friend's first purchase is refunded or cancelled, no credit is earned. If that purchase is refunded or charged back after the credit was issued, SafeSeat may remove the credit. If you use a credit on an order that is later refunded, the credit is returned to your account.
5. No cash value. Credits are promotional. They have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash, sold, or transferred to another account.
6. Expiration. Credits expire on May 31, 2027, or when your account is closed, whichever comes first.
7. Changes. SafeSeat may change or end the referral program at any time by updating this page. Credits earned before a change or ending will be honored until they expire.
8. Abuse. SafeSeat may withhold or remove credits from, and suspend, any account involved in fraud, fake accounts, or other abuse of this program.
Part 2: SafeSeat USC Game Drawing — Official Rules
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. Sponsor. SafeSeat LLC, Bloomington, Indiana ("Sponsor"). Contact: hello@safeseat.app. This Drawing is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Indiana University, the University of Southern California, the Big Ten Conference, or Instagram or Meta. By entering, you release Instagram and Meta from any liability related to this Drawing.
2. Eligibility. The Drawing is open only to individuals who, at the time of entry, (a) are currently enrolled Indiana University students with a valid iu.edu email address, (b) are legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, and (c) are at least 18 years old and the age of majority in their state of residence. Not eligible: Sponsor's owner; anyone who helps operate SafeSeat or administer this Drawing; the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members of each of them; and any person whose SafeSeat account has been suspended or removed under SafeSeat's Terms of Service.
3. Entry Period. The Drawing begins at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time on October 7, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time on November 11, 2026 (the "Entry Period"). Sponsor's computer is the official timekeeper.
4. How to Enter. There are three ways to enter. Every entry has the same chance of winning, however it was earned.
(a) Referral entry. An eligible person with a SafeSeat account earns one (1) entry for each eligible person who creates and verifies a new SafeSeat account through their personal referral link during the Entry Period. The referred person does not need to buy or sell anything for the entry to count.
(b) New-account entry. An eligible person who creates and verifies a new SafeSeat account through a referral link during the Entry Period earns one (1) entry.
(c) Free alternative entry. Without creating an account or referring anyone, an eligible person may enter by completing the free entry form at safeseat.app/referral-rules, or by emailing hello@safeseat.app with the subject line "USC Drawing Entry" and their full name and iu.edu email address. Limit one (1) free alternative entry per person per day.
Entry limit: No person may earn more than 25 total entries during the Entry Period, across all methods combined. Entries beyond the limit are void. Creating a SafeSeat account is free. Entries made through automated means, fake or duplicate accounts, self-referral, or any method not described here are void.
5. Prize. One (1) prize: one (1) ticket to the Indiana University vs. University of Southern California football game scheduled for November 14, 2026 (kickoff time to be announced), purchased by Sponsor through an official ticket channel available to the general public. Approximate retail value: $250. The prize does not include travel, parking, food, or any other expenses. The ticket is subject to the terms and policies of the ticket issuer and venue. The prize cannot be transferred or assigned to another person before it is awarded. No cash or other substitution is available except as stated in Section 6.
6. Prize Contingencies. If the game is postponed or rescheduled, the prize will be a ticket to the rescheduled game if the ticket issuer honors it. If the game is cancelled and not rescheduled, or if Sponsor cannot obtain or deliver the ticket, Sponsor will instead award a prepaid gift card equal to the approximate retail value. Sponsor is not responsible for weather, schedule changes, admission policies, or anything else that affects attendance.
7. Winner Selection and Odds. On or about November 12, 2026, Sponsor will select one (1) potential winner at random from all eligible entries, using a documented random selection method that will be recorded and witnessed by a person who is not eligible to enter and is not related to Sponsor's owner. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
8. Notification and Claiming the Prize. The potential winner will be notified by email at their iu.edu address on or about the drawing date and must reply within 24 hours to confirm eligibility. Sponsor may require a signed declaration of eligibility. If the potential winner does not reply in time, is found ineligible, or declines the prize, the prize is forfeited and an alternate winner will be drawn at random from the remaining eligible entries. Sponsor will draw no more than two (2) alternates. If no winner has claimed the prize by November 14, 2026, the prize will not be awarded. The prize will be delivered by electronic ticket transfer on or before November 14, 2026; the winner must have any free account required by the ticket issuer to receive the transfer.
9. Taxes. The winner is responsible for any taxes on the prize. If the prize's value is $600 or more, the winner must provide a completed IRS Form W-9 before the prize is awarded, and Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099.
10. Publicity. Sponsor may announce the winner's first name, last initial, and class year on safeseat.app and SafeSeat's social media accounts. Any other use of the winner's name, photo, or likeness requires the winner's separate consent.
11. Privacy. Information collected through this Drawing (name, iu.edu email address, and referral activity) is used only to administer the Drawing and as described in SafeSeat's Privacy Policy. It is never sold. If you enter only through the free alternative method and do not have a SafeSeat account, your information will be deleted after the prize is awarded and will not be used for marketing.
12. General Conditions. Sponsor may disqualify anyone who tampers with the entry process, violates these Official Rules, or acts fraudulently. If fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond Sponsor's reasonable control affects the fairness of the Drawing, Sponsor may cancel, suspend, or modify it, and if cancelled, may award the prize by random drawing from eligible entries received before cancellation. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries, or for technical errors of any kind. Sponsor's decisions on all matters relating to the Drawing are final. If any promotional material conflicts with these Official Rules, these Official Rules control.
13. Release and Limitation of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, by entering, entrants release Sponsor and its owner from any claims arising from participation in the Drawing or from receiving or using the prize.
14. Governing Law. These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Monroe County, Indiana.
15. Winner's Name. To receive the winner's name, email hello@safeseat.app with the subject line "USC Drawing Winner" by December 31, 2026.
